2023 was a year like no other!

Since 2002, we’ve been nurturing our olive grove on the beautiful Kapiti Coast, but last year nature threw us a curveball.

Enormous weather events—storms and relentless rain—challenged our olives like never before.

Yet, against all odds we’re proud to have produced a limited edition, Mission EVOO.

The Story Behind the Oil

The challenges began during flowering when the storms inhibited fruit set. When harvest time arrived, the Mission olives were ready, but our harvester was not.

With presses not open and harvesters unavailable, we faced one obstacle after another. We missed some trees, and when the harvester returned… it broke down for two days!

But we didn’t give up!

We hand-harvested with care and finished the job with determination.

What came out of it? A beautiful olive oil that stands as a testament to perseverance.
